Indian lady a work migrant detained in a ‘prison’ in Kuwait waiting to be repatriated

We at ‘Justice a Upheld’ are delighted to confirm that after almost 8 months, Indian work migrant Sadhana, who was subjected to abuse by her Kuwaiti ’employer’ and who has spent months of detention in prison like hostel centres in Kuwait is returning home this morning with the help of Justice Upheld to celebrate  Diwali 2016 with her 5 year old daughter whom she has not seen for over 8 months.

Sadly, Sadhana has not only suffered abuse at the hands of Kuwaiti ’employer’ as well the trauma of being away from her family, Sadhana is a diabetic and during her detention she suffered diabetic related complications. The Kuwaiti and the Indian authorities were unhelpful in ensuring that she received a medical assessment and treatment as a matter of priority.
